I came to purchase a membership to play tennis. The manager handed me a tablet with eight pages to fill out, without even showing me the courts or explaining anything. She didn’t tell me when I could start playing, and did absolutely nothing.
She pointed at the screen, expecting me to figure out how everything works on my own. Meanwhile, I saw other members already playing tennis. But I, someone standing at the entrance with a tennis racket, was simply told “can not”
I kindly ask that the front desk staff be trained in proper customer service. A friendly greeting is not enough to run a successful business.

Great place to get balanced. I went for a fun run activity and had a great time. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Resort has a variety of programs to help you get it together. Can't say enough good things.

First time at Thanyapura and certainly won't be my last. From swimming and gym sessions to yoga, I tried group classes and private lesson offered by various coaches.
The facility is spacious, providing a variety of activities along with wellness clinics and medical services, catering to different interests and needs. It's family-friendly and conveniently located near restaurants and cafes serving healthy Thai and international dishes.
One highlight was my private swim session with Coach Matthew in the large 50-meter pool. Another was the stretching yoga classl, helping me recover after intense workouts.
I spent time eating at the Divine restaurant and the nearby cafe (gotta recoup plenty of healthy calories). I'd recommend the custom smoothies and energy bars at Booster Bar.
The rooms are comfortable and conveniently close to all facilities, making it easy to rest or work between activities. Staff are friendly and welcoming, no issues there.
Tips for first-timers - bring sufficient sunscreen as Phuket tends to be sunny year-round so sun protection is super important. Also, consider trying the sauna and cold plunge after any session - it's refreshing.

I was a member for six years, but after witnessing its shockingly "professional" management, I knew I’d never return.
Here, you get to pay exorbitant fees (far higher than other gyms in Phuket) for facilities stuck in the 1980s and a management team that ignores members.
Where else can you find such a one-of-a-kind experience?
1. Complaint Handling = Getting Yelled At!? The Fitness Director’s Revolutionary Approach
One day, I gave some completely reasonable feedback to a Muay Thai coach:
👉 "Maybe class capacity should be reconsidered?"
However, this gym is famous for completely ignoring member feedback.
What happened next?
🚨 The fitness director stormed into the locker room like a villain straight out of an action movie and screamed:
👉 "If you don’t like it, then quit!"
Ah, I see! In this gym, "giving feedback" comes with the exclusive perk of being personally yelled at by the director!
And it doesn’t stop there. This director enforces his own dictatorship-style rules with absolute authority in his classes:
🔹 To those leaving early: "If you’re not going to finish, don’t come back!"
🔹 Then, loud enough for everyone to hear: "I hate people like that!"
Wait, is this a fitness gym or a battlefield ruled by a dictator?
2. Banned for "Not Being Liked" – A Groundbreaking Gym Policy!
And then, the very next day...
🚨 I was suddenly informed by the senior manager:
👉 "We will not renew your membership."
What? A reason? Who needs reasons in a dictatorship?
...Wait, is this a gym or a loyalty test facility?
At a normal gym, management listens to its members.
But here, the official policy is: "If you don’t suck up to the director, you’re out!"
3. Capacity Limits? What Are Those? Welcome to the Survival Game of Extreme Classes!
The group classes at this gym are like trying to fit into a packed rush-hour subway.
🏋️♂️ Safe training space? Hahaha! Forget it!
🫁 Breathing room? A luxury.
💥 Crashing into someone? Inevitable.
More than effective training, the real challenge is whether you can survive without a collision!
Examples?
⚠️ Participants collided while lifting weights, barely avoiding serious injury.
⚠️ A friend’s glasses were crushed in an overcrowded yoga class.
And the gym’s response?
👉 "We will do absolutely nothing."
At a normal gym, safety policies would be reviewed.
Here? "Getting injured is your own responsibility!"
4. Premium Prices, Rusted Equipment! Enjoy This Luxury Wasteland!
💰 This gym is one of the most expensive gyms in Phuket.
But what do you actually get?
🚿 Showers covered in limescale —turning grime into art.
🏋️ Broken gym equipment—guessing dumbbell weights adds to the workout!
🛠️ Need repairs? "Just paint over the rust!"
Big Question:
❓ Where exactly is all the money going? 🤔
5. Not a Gym—A Stress Endurance Test!
Training here guarantees mental exhaustion rather than physical fitness.
✅ Talented trainers are quitting like there’s no tomorrow.
✅ Member opinions are ignored—or crushed with yelling.
✅ When problems occur, everyone just looks the other way.
✅ Complained? You’re banned!
I moved to a normal gym and finally realized what a real training environment looks like.
🎉 Final Verdict: The Ultimate Chaos Experience—Only for the Brave!
Don’t be fooled by the luxurious exterior of this gym. Behind it lies…
💀 A fitness director whose only skill is yelling at members.
💀 A policy where you’re banned if you upset the wrong person.
💀 Overcrowded classes with zero safety measures.
💀 Sky-high fees for broken, outdated equipment.
At normal gyms, problems are fixed.
However, At this gym, problems are ignored—or the complaining members are removed.

Unfortunately this place has gone downhill since it was sold as a result of covid.
State is three times prior to covid is exceptional food was amazing extensive menu and great quantities of high quality food.
Menu is totally changed small serves less choice.
On this trip full of young kids yelling and screaming running around banging on doors
The staff are good kind and respectful
Tennis courts gyms and pools are fantastic
However the changes in the food quality selections and quantity means we won't be staying here again
Very sad
