Dr. Laura Almonte is a private cosmetic dentistry and implant clinic in the Dominican Republic. The practice operates from a single facility. It focuses on functional dental rehabilitation and smile aesthetics. Led by a solo practitioner, the clinic provides restorative solutions ranging from gum aesthetics to full-arch implant restorations.

Professional Accreditations and Expertise

Dr. Laura Almonte holds a Master in Oral Rehabilitation and Dental Implants from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). This training supports complex cases involving both structural and aesthetic dental needs. The clinic uses Digital Smile Design (DSD) and has earned professional certification in this planning method. This technology allows precise digital visualization of final results before treatment begins.

The clinical lead is an active member of the Colegio Dominicano de Odontologos. She completed specialized training at the ILAPEO Faculty in Brazil. This intensive course focused on immediate loading with implants – a technique that often allows patients to receive functional teeth shortly after placement.

Restorative and Implant Dentistry

The clinic treats cases of severe dental wear and tooth loss. Several implant-supported methods restore oral function:

• Flapless All-on-4 and All-on-6 surgery – techniques for full-arch restoration
• Zirconia dental implants and titanium implant systems
• Full-arch implant-fixed dentures in monolithic zirconia
• Dental crowns and total prosthesis for complete rehabilitation

Because the practice uses DSD, each restorative plan is tailored to the patient's facial proportions.

Aesthetic Dental Procedures

For patients seeking visual improvements, the clinic offers several cosmetic options. Teeth whitening follows a dual-phase protocol. It includes a 40-minute in-office treatment followed by 7 to 15 days of at-home application. The home phase requires only one hour of daily use.

The practice also provides soft-tissue harmonization to improve gum appearance. This includes Gum Cutting to improve soft tissue symmetry. For patients with dark spots on the gums, the clinic performs Gum Peeling. This process treats melanic spots to create a uniform gum color. These procedures help the gums complement the final dental restorations.

Restorative options also include occlusal, palatal, and vestibular veneers. These treat severe wear while preserving natural tooth structure. The clinic offers various veneer types, including minimal-prep and removable variants.

Technology and Diagnostic Planning

Diagnostic work at the clinic centers on computer-aided design. The Digital Smile Design (DSD) platform is the primary planning tool. It creates treatment plans based on digital scans. This approach helps ensure accuracy in both implant placement and crown fabrication. Digital tools also reduce the need for multiple adjustments during the restoration phase.
