Shanghai Kangyi Stomatology Clinic is a multi-specialty dental facility in Shanghai, China. The clinic operates from a single building with eight specialized departments. It provides oral care for both adults and children.
Dental Specialties and Care Departments
The clinic organizes services across eight core areas. These departments cover everything from preventive care to complex surgery. Specialists create individualized treatment plans before any procedure.
- Restorative Dentistry – repairs damaged teeth using fillings, inlays, onlays, and crowns.
- Dental Implants – replaces missing teeth to improve chewing and speech.
- Orthodontics – manages tooth alignment for patients of all ages.
- Cosmetic Dentistry – includes teeth whitening and dental veneers.
- Oral Surgery – addresses impacted teeth, dental trauma, and decay complications.
- Pediatric Dentistry – provides care tailored specifically for children.
The dental team includes specialists with international training. Dr. Wang Qihao serves as dental director. He studied at the National University of Singapore and the Royal Dental College in Australia. Dr. Wang focuses on aesthetic procedures and implantology.
Dr. Guan Heping graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Stomatology. She handles cosmetic restorations, pediatric cases, and root canal therapy.
Advanced Periodontal and Root Canal Therapy
Specialists perform periodontal gum therapy to manage chronic conditions like gingivitis and periodontitis. Treatment aims to regenerate damaged bone and tissue while reducing gaps between gums and teeth. This eliminates bacterial infection and helps prevent future tooth loss.
Root canal treatment typically requires two to five visits over several months. Each appointment lasts about one hour. The dentist uses anesthesia to keep patients comfortable while cleaning infected canals. After the root is filled, a crown protects the tooth structure.
Diagnostic Capabilities
The clinic uses specific imaging tools to plan dental treatments and oral surgeries. These devices allow precise visualization of tooth structure and jawbone.
- Florida Probe – for detailed periodontal pocket depth measurements.
- Panoramic X-ray (OPG) – to view the entire upper and lower jaw.
- Periapical X-ray – for close-up views of individual teeth and surrounding bone.
- Targeted X-ray – for specific area diagnostics.
These imaging technologies support oral surgeons managing retained roots or bone loss.
